• You could likely find a decent used racquet on UsedVancouver.com or on the bulletin boards of local clubs. That way you get a good racquet for less money. Once you are playing more regularly you can purchase a new one and by then you’ll have a better sense of what you’re looking for. Marc’s suggestions for working with a coach right away is a good one, and he or she will be able to make recommendations about racquets as well.

The main thing is to set yourself up for having FUN – that will keep you interested and keep you playing. Group lessons are great because they are more social and right away you get a small network of people at your level. Good luck, Neda!
